Historical Lecture Sept. 7

Pickett’s Charge was an infantry assault ordered by Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee against Maj. Gen. George G. Meade’s Union positions on Cemetery Ridge, July 3, 1863, the last day of the Battle of Gettysburg during the American Civil War.

History buffs will enjoy this informative lecture scheduled for Monday, Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Taylor Community’s Woodside Building. The program will be presented by Dave Decker of the Laconia Historical and Museum Society. This event is free and open to the public. Please call 524-5600 to RSVP for seating.
