2013 Staff Appreciation Week
August 30, 2013The theme of Taylor Community’s 2013 Staff Appreciation Week was “Celebrating You! Celebrating Wellness!” Held Aug. 19-23, events kicked off with a Health and Wellness Fair, featuring several local community partners. There were daily walks, exercise mania and gym and pool orientations. Pedometers were passed to all and a contest was held to track the number of steps throughout the week. The winning team walked more than 70 miles and the winning individual more than 52!
Food is always important, so a smoothie bar, yogurt parfaits and a healthy barbecue lunch were served. Care Manager Stephanie Bennett won this year’s Taylor Community Cookie Contest with her Crispy Salted Oatmeal White Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe.
The week culminated with a variety of old-fashioned games on Taylor Home’s front lawn, including an egg toss, water balloons, tug of war and a pie-eating contest. Thanks to all our volunteers, leadership and 155 employees for a healthy, fun week!
