The Civil War Soldier
April 28, 2016The everyday life of the Civil War soldier often isn’t known or discussed. Thousands of New Hampshire men volunteered to fight in a war against their fellow Americans and many died or were seriously wounded during the four bloody years of warfare.
Through lecture and discussion, Educator Warren Sommers will help participants gain an understanding of the daily trials and tribulations of the Civil War solider. Join us Monday, May 2 at 6:30 p.m. in Taylor Community’s Woodside Building. The event is free is open to the public, but RSVPs are requested by calling 524-5600.
Looking at this conflict through the eyes of the soldiers – both North and South – this is an opportunity to learn more about the events that divided our nation from 1861 to 1865.
