“Conversations That Matter” April 2
March 28, 2016No one ever wants to think about it, let alone talk about it. The reality is, we never know when something can or will happen to us – an accident, a heart attack, a fall with serious injury, or maybe a stroke that leaves us unable to tell the paramedics and Emergency Room staff what our wishes are in regard to life-sustaining treatment.
That’s why talking with loved ones about what we want, listening to each other’s thoughts and questions, and having conversations that matter is so important at every age. Having these conversations and completing your Advanced Directives empowers you to received exactly the treatment you desire.
Let us help. Join us Saturday, April 2 at 2:30 p.m. in Taylor Community’s Woodside Building and we’ll provide you with the information and tools on how to start and have those important conversations. Information will also be provided on Advanced Directives, Physicians Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment and Do Not Resuscitate orders.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information or questions, please call Hank Offinger at 366-1207, or Mary Ellen McCormack at 366-1442.
The choices are yours and only yours. The details and exceptions of those choices are yours to make – but you have to talk about it.
