Trips have descriptors – Easy, Moderate, and Independent – which indicate the degree of mobility [walking, standing, stepping, etc.] required in order to safely participate and enjoy the trip.
Please note: There is a $10 fee charged for cancellations within 72 hours of a trip. If a trip requires pre-paid tickets or entry fees, you cannot be reimbursed if you cancel from the trip OR if Taylor needs to cancel the trip due to weather conditions that make driving unsafe. Non-residents pay a $10 fee for going on Taylor Community trips.
Wednesday – Dec. 4 – Dining out at “O” Steak and Seafood. This restaurant welcomes you to experience sophisticated dining overlooking Lake Opechee. Enjoy hand-cut steaks and the freshest seafood complimented by a variety of beverages. The bus will begin picking up residents on the Laconia campus at 4:15 p.m. (Easy)
Friday – Dec. 6 – Shopping at Marshalls and Burlington Coat Factory. At Marshalls you’ll find current season brand names and designer goods for men, women and children. As the TV ad says, “never pay full price for fabulous.” At the Burlington Coat Factory there are many departments to choose from, such as clothing for men and women, bed & bath, shoes, luggage, jewelry and accessories, just to name a few. After shopping, we’ll walk across the street to the Cheers Restaurant. Pick from a variety of home-made soups, side orders, salads, big beefy burgers, Cheers Sandwiches and more. The bus will begin picking up residents on the Laconia campus at 8:30 a.m. (Easy to Moderate – walking and crossing the street to the restaurant)
Wednesday – Dec. 11 – Annual Holiday Light Ride. The exact route will be determined by the bus driver. Sit back and relax while you experience the magic of the holidays. You’ll be delighted by the drive-through holiday light show again this year at the NH Motor Speedway. The bus will begin picking up residents on the Laconia Campus at 6 p.m. (Easy)
Thursday – Dec. 12 – Pemigewasset Choral Society winter concert, “The Glory of the Season,” will be presented at the Gilford Community Church. This is always a popular event so sign up early. Please be prepared to make a free will offering at the door to help support the chorus. The bus will begin picking up residents on the Laconia Campus at 6:15 p.m. (Easy)
Saturday – Dec. 14 – Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra Holiday Pops Concert will be presented at the Inter-Lakes Community Auditorium in Meredith. Enjoy holiday fun featuring traditional and popular songs of the season. Emily Jaworski will be the featured soloist. Tickets are $15; a check made out to Taylor Community must be received by Sue Williams no later than Dec. 9. The bus will begin picking up residents on the Laconia Campus at 6:15 p.m. (Easy)
