Girl Scouts Centennial Celebrated with S’mores at Taylor

Juliette Low brought together a handful of girls in Savannah, Ga. in March of 1912, forming an organization that would become known as the Girl Scouts. In the century since, millions of girls have passed through the organization, which has grown to be the largest worldwide association of women and girls.
With songs, displays of memorabilia and “lemmi sticks” several dozen ladies celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts of the USA with a gathering at the Taylor Community’s Woodside building.
