Trips have descriptors – Easy, Moderate, and Independent – which indicate the degree of mobility
(walking, standing, stepping, etc.])required in order to safely participate and enjoy the trip.
Please note: There is a $10 fee charged for trip cancellations. If a trip requires pre-paid tickets or entry fees, you cannot be reimbursed if you cancel from the trip OR if Taylor needs to cancel the trip due to weather conditions that make driving unsafe. Non-residents pay a $10 fee for going on Taylor Community trips.

Wednesday – March 5 – Dining Out at Patrick’s Pub. Patrick’s serves their award-winning chowder, homemade appetizers, soups, stews, fresh salads, hearty sandwiches and a variety of delicious entrees. Vegetarian dishes are available as well as a gluten-free menu. The bus will begin picking up residents on the Laconia campus at 4:30 p.m. (Easy)
Saturday – March 8 – “Dancing with the Stars” at the Inter-Lakes Community Auditorium in Meredith. The Lakes Region Stars have been paired with professional dancers just like the television show. Participants will be judged on creativity, technical ability, entertainment value, stage presence and audience involvement by a panel of three judges. Audience members can also cast unlimited votes for their favorite dancing duo for $1 per vote. Every dollar earned goes to charity and will benefit several non-profit organizations. Tickets are $15 and a check made out to Taylor Community should be given to Sue Williams after signing up. This trip was offered as an early sign-up. The bus will begin picking up residents on the Laconia Campus at 5 p.m. (Easy)
Friday – March 14 – Trip to Pickity Place and Parker’s Maple Barn. Pickity Place is a cottage that was chosen by Elizabeth Orton Jones as the model for her illustrations in “Little Red Riding Hood.” Browse through the gift shop before lunch. The five-course gourmet luncheon is served in a quaint, comfortable atmosphere. After lunch and a 20-minute ride, we’ll arrive at Parker’s Maple Barn, a family establishment since the late 60’s. The Corn-Crib Gift Shop features many maple products, jams, jellies, souvenirs, gift baskets and tins. The sugar house still produces maple syrup following the old tradition of wood-fired evaporators. The bus will begin picking residents up on the Laconia campus at 9 a.m. There will be an approximate 9:40 a.m. convenience stop at the Concord Bus Terminal. (Easy)
Saturday – March 22 – Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra “A Night of Pops.” This evening’s concert will feature mezzo-soprano Emily Jaworski. Selections of light classics and pops favorites will include “Light Calvary Overture,” “Boston Pops March,” “Autumn Leaves,” “All the Things You Are,” “American Salute,” Leroy Anderson favorites and more. Tickets are $15 and a check made out to Taylor Community should be given to Sue Williams after you sign-up. Deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, March 14. The bus will begin picking up residents on the Laconia Campus at 6:30 p.m. (Easy)
Friday – March 28 – Trip to the Bedford Inn, Several Unique Shops and Macy’s. Bedford has several unique shops that you’ll be able to visit including The Extra Touch Gourmet & Gifts and The Fresh Market. A stop at Macy’s will complete the morning’s itinerary. After shopping we’ll have lunch at the Bedford Inn Tavern. You can relax in the laid-back atmosphere and enjoy the Art Americana. You can order anything from burgers and Bordeaux, fresh salads, pizza and pasta. The tavern menu is prepared by the same culinary staff that serves the Dining Room and you may also order from the more formal Dining Room menu if you wish. The bus will begin picking up residents on the Laconia campus at 9 a.m. There will be an approximate 9:40 a.m. convenience stop at the Concord Bus Terminal. (Easy)
