New Horizons Band Dec. 19
December 3, 2015The New Horizons Band of the Lakes Region, under the direction of Mary Divers, presents an afternoon concert at Taylor Community’s Woodside Building, Saturday, Dec. 19 at 3 p.m.
The band will feature a variety of holiday tunes, including music from “Polar Express” and “Frozen,” among many others. The program is open to the public. A free-will donation will be accepted for the band, which is a non-profit entertainment group. To RSVP and ensure seating, please call 524-5600, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Consisting of musicians from many towns throughout the Lakes Region and Concord, the band is open to all ages. The group includes those interested in learning an instrument to professional players with diverse levels in-between. Divers, who is the conductor and band founder, holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. She welcomes all new musicians to the New Horizons Band, whose belief is “Music is for Life!”
