No More Yelling: Conversations in Current Political Conflicts
March 13, 2014In our current technological age, we have the greatest potential for solving our collective political problems, yet our exposure to political discussions presents us with an impression of constant debate and no resolution. What’s a citizen to do?
Many avoid conflict, while others contribute to the cacophony. Meanwhile, our youth have turned away from political institutions toward those organizations they view as more constructive. Join us as Dr. Krisan Evenson discusses what these groups might offer one another and multigenerational approaches to solving our most compelling problems. The program is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26 at 11 a.m. in Taylor Community’s Woodside Building.
Doctor Evenson is a political psychologist and teaching lecturer in Plymouth State University’s Social Science Department. The program is part of collaboration between Meredith Village Savings Bank, Taylor Community and Plymouth State University, designed to bring educational and entertaining programs to Taylor residents and the greater Lakes Region area.
The event is free and open to the public, but please RSVP to ensure seating, by calling 524-5600 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by emailing rsvp@taylorcommunity.org.
