Please note: There is a $10 fee charged for cancellations within 72 hours of the trip.
Non-residents pay a $10 fee for going on Taylor Community trips.
The trips have descriptors – Easy, Moderate, and Independent – indicating the degree of mobility [walking, standing, stepping, etc.] required in order to safely participate and enjoy the trip. If a trip requires pre-paid tickets or entry fees, you cannot be reimbursed if you cancel from the trip OR if Taylor needs to cancel the trip due to weather conditions that make driving unsafe.
* No trip is scheduled for the week of Thanksgiving.
Tuesday – November 4 – Call Now for Dial-A-Ride Transportation to St. Andre Bessette Parish Hall for Ward 2 voters at 9:00 AM and again at 11:00 AM.
Wednesday – November 5 – Dining out at Woodland’s Tavern [Easy] Enjoy good food in a comfortable setting. Every item is prepared with the freshest of ingredients. There was an early sign-up for this trip posted in the last Bulletin. The bus will begin picking up residents on the Laconia campus at 4:15 PM.
Saturday – November 8 – Lakes Region Symphony Concert “In The Mood” [Easy] Guest soloist will be Concerto Competition winner, Violinist Stacie Lin. Her concert piece will be Tchaikovsky – Violin in D Major, Op. 35. The orchestra will play selections from Brahms – Hungarian Dances (no. 5,6,11) and Schubert – Symphony No. 8 in B minor, “Unfinished Symphony.” Tickets are $15.00 and checks should be made out to the Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra. There was an early sign-up and deadline so please call Sue Williams at 366-1226 for ticket availability. The bus will begin picking up residents on the Laconia campus at 6:30 PM.
Thursday – November 13 – The Winni Players present Woody Allen’s “Don’t Drink the Water” [Easy] Taylor Community Resident Doris Citron has a small part in this play and would love to see some of her friends and neighbors in the audience. This comedy takes place in the mid-1960s and features an American family on vacation rushing into the Embassy on the run from the Communist Secret Police. The father accidently wanders into a high security area and takes pictures, causing the communists to believe that the family are spies. Tickets are $18.00 for Orchestra and $10.00 for Balcony. There was an early sign-up and deadline so please call Sue Williams at 366-1226 for ticket availability. The bus will begin picking up residents on the Laconia Campus at 6:30 PM.
Monday – November 17 – Lunch at the Olive Garden and then on to the Steeplegate Mall for shopping [Easy – lots of optional walking in the mall] The lunch menu features a create-your-own Italian Sampler, several entrees with unlimited soup or fresh garden salad, and many other options. The Steeplegate Mall is known for its anchor stores: Sears, J.C. Penny and Bon-Ton. There are many other specialty stores such as Yankee Candle, Coldwater Creek, Chico’s, Bath and Body Works, Lane Bryant, Olympia Sports, The Walking Company, and a new addition, Dressbarn. The bus will begin picking up residents on the Laconia campus at 10:15 AM.
