Rev. Paula Gile, Associate Pastor of the Congregational Church of Laconia, partners with Stand Up Laconia to present “Paper Tigers,” This powerful video is about an alternative high school in Washington state that radically changed its approach to discipline after the principal was exposed to research about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE).

The video will be shown Sunday, March 4 at 2 p.m. in Taylor Community’s Woodside Building. This free event is open to the public.

Laconia High School students and teachers saw the movie and were moved by its content. The film helps community members better understand some of the issues today’s young people are dealing with and why this can lead to substance misuse.
