Part II – Prologue to Canterbury Tales Oct. 28
October 22, 2015In a society based on class structure, Geoffrey Chaucer lived between the lines. Although not of noble blood, Chaucer married well. His sister-in-law was the mistress and later the wife of John of Gaunt, the lst Duke of Lancaster.
Phyllis Benoit, retired teacher and mediator, recently took attendees on Part 1 of this risqué pilgrimage through the middle ages with the good, the bad and the ugly. She’ll present Part II Thursday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m. at Taylor Community’s Woodside Building. The event is free, but seating is limited. Please RSVP to 524-5600, by noon Oct. 28.
The class is part of the Fall Curriculum at Osher Life-Long Learning (OLLI) at Granite State College. Copies of the reading will be given to all participants.
