Presentation on the Basics of Olive Oils, Back Bay
April 12, 2018The owners of Orazio’s Gourmet Oils will conduct a presentation on the basics of olive oil, Tuesday, April 24 at 10 a.m. at Taylor Community’s Back Bay Campus. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Community House. Reservations are required; please call Brenda Kean at 366-1226 to reserve your spot.
Orazio’s was opened a year ago by Kathy and Saverino “Sandy” Correale of Wolfeboro. Topics to be covered include the chemistry of olive oil and its health benefits; how, where and when olive oil is produced; varieties of olive oil; and the every day use of olive oil. Those attending will also learn about how balsamic vinegars are made and the different types of white and dark balsamics. Samples will be available for tasting and purchases may also be made.
Their business offers residents and visitors the opportunity to purchase high quality imported olive oil from around the world and balsamic vinegars from Modena, Italy at a reasonable price. Orazio’s is a unique tasting experience and has over 50 varieties of olive oil and balsamic vinegars, which may be sampled before purchased. They also features different varieties of sea salts from The Salt Cellar in Portsmouth and New Hampshire-made maple syrup, jams and jellies and mustards.
