Prologue to Canterbury Tales
October 15, 2015In a society based on class structure, Geoffrey Chaucer lived between the lines. Although not of noble blood, Chaucer married well. His sister-in-law was the mistress and later the wife of John of Gaunt, the lst Duke of Lancaster.
Phyllis Benoit, retired teacher and mediator, will take attendees on this risqué pilgrimage through the middle ages with the good, the bad and the ugly, Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. at Taylor Community’s Woodside Building. The event is free, but seating is limited. Please RSVP to 524-5600, by noon Oct. 21.
The class is part of the Fall Curriculum at Osher Life-Long Learning (OLLI) at Granite State College. Copies of the reading will be given to all participants.
