Taylor Community Kicks off Music Series

Tim Martin, President, CEO Taylor Community, Christopher and Arlene Kies, pianists who performed the opening celebration of Taylor Community’s 2013 Music Series Sponsored by Bank of New Hampshire, Bob Selig, Chairman, Board of Directors, Taylor Community and Mark Primeau, President & CEO, Bank of New Hampshire. Christopher Kies wrote an original music score for the kick-off performance, called “Taylor Fanfare for Piano Four-Hands (2013)”, in which he and his wife Arlene performed. More than 160 people enjoyed the one hour performance on Sunday. Program highlights also included solo performances by Christopher and Arlene playing Schubert, Chopin, Debussy and Gershwin. Each month, Taylor Community will host some of the state’s most talented musicians. The Music Series was made possible through a donation made by Bank of New Hampshire. The donation enabled Taylor to restore a 1918 piano. Christopher and Arlene are both faculty at University of New Hampshire in the Music Department.
