In 1938, not a single living person had ever experienced a hurricane in New England. The previous hurricane had been so many years past that people in the Northeast believes they only happened in the South – Florida, Texas and North Carolina.
Then, without warning, the most destructive weather event to hit the Northeast blasted all the way through to Quebec.
