Swenson Granite: Now and Then

David Duford, a sales coordinator for Swenson Granite’s Concord location, will present a program at Woodside Wednesday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m. explaining how the quarry and production plant are run today. He’ll present a video showing old photos, as well as a PowerPoint presentation with pointed historical information from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.

He’ll also bring along some pre-drilled granite and demonstrate how the splitting process works. A question and answer period and refreshments will follow. Duford, a self-proclaimed “jack of all trades” has been with Swenson Granite for 19 years and enjoys the historical side of the business.

The event is free and open to the public but RSVPs are requested to ensure seating. Please call 524-5600 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or email
